LAN Event – Saturday May 28th, 11am-midnight, RCH307

We’re having a LAN event in RCH 307 on Saturday May 28th. It’ll run from 11am until midnight, which I’m sure is a surprise if you’ve read the title of this article.

We’ll be running Team Fortress 2, Starcraft II, League of Legends, Heroes of Newerth, DotA, Left 4 Dead 2, (maybe Brink) and more! Be sure to bring your own computer and your own ethernet cable to connect to our setup. We’ll have a wireless access point available, but connecting with an ethernet cable is much cooler. We might setup a Minecraft server to collaboratively build something if we get enough people interested.

Food (pizza) will be brought in at 12:30pm and 6:30pm, so have some spare change around so you can buy food without going out places. Types of money we take: cash. Pop will be available for $0.50/can since we’ve found that water fountains aren’t always convenient enough.

Spring 2011 – Events

We have an event schedule confirmed for this term. It’s going to be a quiet term, a bunch of people are busy with school work and the Spring term is normally quiet anyway. Enough excuses though, here are the events that we have planned:

• May 28th – LAN Event
• June 11th – Fighting Games Tournament (a.k.a. Bison Tournament)
• July 13th – Game On
• July 27th – LAN Event

We’re running the Fighting Games Tournament in association with Bison’s Auto Shop, a KW based group that plays fighting games. Specific information about that event can be found on the shoryuken.com forums. Other than that, we’ll be running everything as normal.
