Starcraft II Registration Open!

We’re running another Starcraft II tournament this term, sponsored by ASUS. Due to the demand we had last term, we’ve opened signups up to a maximum of 256 people. We will put everyone into a 256-man bracket and throughout the term we will narrow the player count down to 32. You must play one match a week against the opponent you’ve been assigned, each match is a best of three. The tournament will be starting on Sunday January 30th, and as a result registration closes on Saturday January 29th at 11:59pm.

On Wednesday March 23rd we will be hosting the final live in the SLC Great Hall. If you enter the tournament, you must intend on coming to the final. Everyone who makes it to the final 32 will walk away with a prize, and of course there will be prizes for winning. Entering is completely free.

LAN Event! January 29th, 11am-midnight, RCH307

We’re having a LAN event in RCH 307 on January 29th. It’ll run from 11am until midnight.

We’ll have Team Fortress 2, Minecraft, Starcraft II, Left 4 Dead 2, League of Legends, Heroes of Newerth, Defense of the Ancients and more! Bring your own computer ~and ethernet cable~ and have some fun with us playing video games.

Lunch (pizza) will be brought in at 12:30pm and 6:30pm, so have some spare change around so you can buy food without going out places. Unfortunately we don’t take cheques, debit cards, credit cards or wat cards. Cash only. Pop will be available for $0.50/can all day in case the water fountains aren’t enough for you.
