It’s that time of term again!
UW Gamers Smash Bros Melee Tournaments

Tuesday, December 4th.
SLC Great Hall
Two Tournaments!
Compete in one or two!
Prizes for both!
Items On Tourney!
Registration at 1pm.
Entrance fee optional.
Nothing is disabled
Hardcore Tourney!
Registration at 6pm.
Entrance fee mandatory.
Smashboards style rules.
Pre-registration is OVER!

For Fun Tournament Rules
Format
Swiss Round Robin (like almost all of our tourneys)
- All players have a minimum of 3 games
- Player is out when he/she accumulates 3 losses
- Players will play against other players with similar scores
Prize Money
- Optional entrance fee to enter for prize money
- $5 Entry Fee
- First prize of $50
- Second prize of $25
- ??? Booby prize for king of losers?
- Prize will be a gift certificate, not actual cash.
- Prize value may be subject to change based on expected paying participation
Rules
- Entrants will use any character, at any time.
- Games will be stock 4 or 5, depending on how many competitiors.
- All items are on
- Items are on HIGH
- The level to be played on will be random
- All stages are enabled (if your three games are on flatzone, icicle mountain, and Big Blue, then sucks to be you)
Hardcore Tournament Rules
Format
- Double Elimination tree
- Seeding to be based on previous smash tourney participation, and, failing that, randomness
Prize Money
- Mandatory $5 entrance fee
- $5 Entry Fee
- First prize of $50
- Second prize of $25
- Prize will be a gift certificate, not actual cash.
Each set works as follows:
- 4-stock
- 8-minute time limit
- No items
- Best 2 of 3 for each round
First match:
1) Character choice made with double-blind picks, using the honor system.
2) Level will be a randomly chosen neutral level
Second and Third match:
1) Loser of previous match selects the stage for the next match from the list of legal stages.
2) Winner of the previous match gets to make a character change
3) Loser of previous match gets to make a character change
4) Winner of the previous match gets to make a second character change
5) Loser of previous match gets to make a second character change
